Overclocking is basicly boosting your performance above the safety norm - if not done right you could possibly melt some chips in your computer.
You have to download software that will boost your performance.

Try a program called coolbits. It adds the oc options to your nvidia taskbar.

No, that safety norm is there for a reason, don't want to heat up my card too much

I tried overclocking last night, I notched both my core clock and my memory clock up about 5MHz. The results were bitter-sweet. I saw a slight improvement in performance but there were some nasty graphical glitches like shearing and lost textures.
My best advice to you would be not to worry about overclocking unles you've done some research on your own card.

Yes, overclocking is a tricky business. Some cards are factory clocked well below their capabilities while some are teetering right on the edge. Some games deal with overclocking very well, AA does not deal with it very well at all. In any case I would suggest checking out the forums over at guru3d about my card before I tried any of it. You might also try the Omega drivers for your card as they have an optimization tab for either quality or performance. When I choose performance with my 6600gt AGP it actually underclocks one of my settings.
