Hey guys, I was wonderin if you could help me with somethin. My computer has 2 ports for a microphone, one in front, and one in back. I am getting a new headset, but the front port for the microphone won't work...No sound comes out when I do tests....and the other port, whatever I say goes through my headphones and whenever I make any noise into the mic it goes through my headphones...Any ideas/suggestions? thx

Try this: 1. open your "Volume Control" (speaker icon in system-tray by time; if not there, go to Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Audio tab, and click Volume under "playback") 2. go to "Options" and "Properties", click to show Microphone controls, click OK 3. on the "Microphone" setting, check the MUTE button, click OK
See if that fixes it for you.
