Hm......sounds like AA 2.7 is going to be a lot worse to me. This SAI thing kinda sounds like radar, and sounds like it is going to be really cheap. Opinions?

If you read that full article a little bit closer, you'll see that it's not really "radar". Only those friendlies that you can physically see (or can be seen by those that you can see) will show up on it (unless you're the SL or FTL, in which case you see all players under your command). It does show the objectives, but so did the compass that the SAI is replacing (SAI just shows them a little better). And it doesn't show actual enemy locations, only places where friendlies (or you) have reported seeing an enemy -- so it's a lot different than the cheat radars or the radars used in most other FPS games.

I have a feeling there's gonna be some hax in 2.7 that alter the SAI to get more advantage (showing op4 positions, showing all friendlies w/o being SL or FTL)

how is it gonna show where enemy's are...in 2.6 we quickly type " E LOY" or " E A " or something there must be a few buttons pressed in 2.7 to report e now...

Per [Dev]Pye's latest message (over at AAOTracker), the "enemy spotted" command will put a red X on your SAI (and your teammates' SAI's) for a few seconds, in the direction in which you were looking when you said it. And there is also a "spam-limit" on the "enemy spotted" command, so that overzealous (or just plain mean ) teammates don't clutter your SAI's view with a bunch of worthless X's.

SAI thing could be fun. I watched the flash video of it, looked pretty cool. One of the new maps looks Vietnam-ish, or a daylight, more jungle-like Swamp Raid.

not all for the SAI thing like, sounds like its going ot be more and more hacks in this one then 2.6.
